Our Very First Poetry Competition
Our very first competition is open to young poets aged 8โ12. Submit one original poem through the form below. Winning poems will be published in our digital magazine, and winners will be notified by email.
How to enter
- Write from the heart: your poem can be about anything โ a person you love, a place that makes you feel something, a dream, an emotion, or even something as simple as the rain.
- Free verse โ no pressure to rhyme. There are no rules on structure, rhyme or rhythm. Write however feels right to you.
- Length: your poem must be a minimum of 8 lines and no more than 20 lines.
- One entry per child: each participant may submit one original poem only.
- Original work only: the poem must be entirely the child's own writing, and must not have been published or submitted elsewhere before.
- Parental consent required: all entries must be submitted by a parent or guardian on behalf of the child.
